Fertility conference by the Mersey
2 February 2018
January this year the team headed over to Liverpool for the 2018 Fertility conference.
Fertility! is a very broad conference which helps scientists, doctors, embryologists and industry come together to discuss the latest research in the field of reproduction. It has a great environment and mixing the latest laboratory research with important medical problems and new techniques being tested during assisted conception really makes it a worthwhile conference to attend.
Allan, Steve and Sarah were all presenting talks while Nurul, Chandler and Taryn gave poster presentations. It was great to get discussion going on our project with other academics in the field.
The team particularly enjoyed the talks given by Thomas Hildebrandt on using Assisted Reproductive Technology in endangered species for conservation, and by Stephen Hillier recapping developments in IVF over the past 40 years.
Unfortunately, this left no time to get a ferry across the Mersey.
